In 2016, a glacier inventory of the Central Karakorum National Park was completed as part of the SEED project, thanks to the collaboration of EvK2CNR Pakistan, the University of Milan and the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
In 2024, a new inventory of 13,032 Pakistani glaciers was created as a result of the 'Glaciers and Students' project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The project was carried out by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and implemented by EvK2CNR, in collaboration with the universities of Milan and Cagliari.
