Due giornate di workshop e una conferenza dedicate all'Ecoturismo in Gilgit Baltistan

Skardu, 15/10/2025 – Oggi prende il via un Workshop di due giorni sull'Ecoturismo presso l'Università del Baltistan, Skardu, che culminerà nella Conferenza sull'Ecoturismo il 17 ottobre 2025. Questi eventi, incentrati su "Trasformare il Turismo: Ecoturismo, Sostenibilità e Sviluppo Guidato dalla Comunità", sono co-organizzati da EvK2CNR, dall'Università del Baltistan Skardu, dall'Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS), dal Dipartimento Parchi e Fauna Selvatica GB e dall'UNDP. Il workshop e la conferenza mirano a migliorare le competenze nello sviluppo di destinazioni sostenibili e a promuovere pratiche di ecoturismo responsabili all'interno della regione del Gilgit-Baltistan.

Questi eventi, organizzati dal Dipartimento di Turismo e Gestione dell'Ospitalità dell'Università del Baltistan Skardu, sono resi possibili attraverso il progetto "Water for Development", realizzato dall'UNDP Pakistan con finanziamenti del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale italiano (MAECI), tramite l'Ambasciata Italiana a Islamabad e AICS Islamabad.

Il workshop e la conferenza offrono un forum per esperti, responsabili politici, rappresentanti della comunità e ricercatori per discutere e definire strategie su aspetti cruciali dell'ecoturismo: sviluppo di destinazioni sostenibili, coinvolgimento della comunità, pratiche di ecoturismo e politiche di supporto.

EvK2CNR è da anni attivamente impegnata nella promozione di queste attività e progetti; l'architetto Michele Locatelli, Giorgia Gotti e il team dell'ufficio di EvK2CNR Pakistan a Islamabad partecipano per contribuire con la loro esperienza.

I punti salienti del workshop includono:

  • Una panoramica del progetto "W4D – Water for Development Project", che mostra il sostegno della Cooperazione Internazionale Italiana allo sviluppo sostenibile nel Gilgit Baltistan.
  • Strategie per preservare gli ambienti naturali e il patrimonio culturale attraverso il coinvolgimento della comunità.

I punti salienti della conferenza includono:

  • Discussioni sul ruolo dell'accademia e della ricerca nel far progredire l'ecoturismo.

Skardu, 15/10/2025 – A two-day Workshop on Ecotourism kicks off today at the University of Baltistan, Skardu, culminating in the Ecotourism Conference on 17 October 2025. These events, focused on "Transforming Tourism: Ecotourism, Sustainability, and Community-Driven Development," are co-organized by EvK2CNR, the University of Baltistan Skardu, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the GB Parks and Wildlife Department, and the UNDP. The workshop and conference aim to enhance skills in sustainable destination development and promote responsible ecotourism practices within the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

These events, organized by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Baltistan Skardu, are made possible through the "Water for Development" project, implemented by UNDP Pakistan with funding from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), via the Italian Embassy in Islamabad and AICS Islamabad.

The workshop and conference provide a forum for experts, policymakers, community representatives, and researchers to discuss and strategize on crucial aspects of ecotourism: sustainable destination development, community involvement, ecotourism practices, and supportive policies.

EvK2CNR has been actively involved for years in promoting these activities and projects; architect Michele Locatelli, Giorgia Gotti, and the team from the EvK2CNR Pakistan office in Islamabad are participating to contribute their expertise.

Workshop highlights include:
